The work
Türkiye had no app where shops sell their surplus food to people nearby. I counted 3,000+ online requests for one and started with books, clothing and food. Before building anything, I needed to know what would make people and merchants trust it.

What I found
Trust hinged on legal safeguards rather than on the interface.
What I did
- 01Ran 52 interviews with consumers and merchants.
- 02Cut the scope from books, clothing and food to food only.
- 03Designed 15 core screens and 250+ states in Figma, then tested an early prototype with 15 consumers and 2 merchants.
Results
- 14 of 15 testers bought a bag on their own in an early prototype test

- 1 letter of intent
The app isn't built yet: the test used an early Figma prototype. Merchant verification, a licensed-only launch and the food-safety guarantee are scoped design decisions, not shipped yet.
